Guatemala La Soledad

Guatemala La Soledad - Orígenes. Cafés de especialidad.

Here we have another outstanding single-origin coffee from a family-run farm. The farmland covers 45 hectares of coffee plantations, interspersed with another 45 hectares of natural forest reserve. The Pérez family has also started growing avocados, which helps them diversify their income and protect the environment.

Hard work pays off

Finca La Soledad is renowned for the high quality and longevity of its coffee. They ensure that their processing methods maintain the highest possible quality for an extended period.

They use a traditional washing method, and everything is done by hand, from harvesting to drying. They have been experimenting with other processing methods to achieve new flavour profiles and push the boundaries.

International recognition

A multiple participant in the Cup of Excellence and winner of the award, they have earned great respect and recognition throughout the coffee supply chain. They continue to improve, develop, and implement new ideas to achieve excellence.

La Soledad has been experimenting not only with coffee processing but also with its varieties. They have been working closely with and conducting research with World Coffee Research, testing new varieties and growing conditions for coffee hybrids, focusing on resilience, quality, and increased productivity.

We are grateful to be able to share their inherited passion for coffee, their persistence in always seeking a better tomorrow, as well as their respect for their ancestors and their inherited land.
