Begins in Denmark in 2016,
...driven by a deep passion for coffee and a desire to create unique, honest, and distinctive flavour profiles. A dream that has taken shape through years of learning, effort, and perseverance, balancing work, family, and the creative drive of Alejandro, the founder of this small—but significant—project.
What brought us here
As time went on, Alejandro set himself a clear goal: to leave behind his professional career in the wind energy sector and return to Spain with his family to dedicate himself fully to what truly impassioned him. It was a rich and complex journey that unfolded in various stages, including the creation in 2023 of the sole proprietorship Orígenes Mikroristeri , still based in Denmark.
The great leap
A year later came the decisive step: making specialty coffee their life's work. Today, Orígenes Cafés de Especialidad is a growing reality, supported by their family and a team of industry professionals who share the same philosophy and love for good coffee.
Our purpose
We know you're looking for more than just good coffee. You're not satisfied with just the right or the generic. You want to know where each bean comes from, who grows it, how it's processed, and why it tastes the way it does.
We know there are many high-quality coffees out there, but often there is a lack of information, criteria, or a roasting process that respects their true potential.
Faced with this personal quest—and this void—Alejandro decided to create what he couldn't find. A journey through the aromas and flavours of the most surprising origins, designed for those who desire a better cup of coffee, with more knowledge, calm, and enjoyment.
