Perú - Cajamarca

In northwestern Peru, at altitudes between 1,600 and 1,800 metres, the varieties Caturra, Typica and Bourbon are grown organically, resulting in this medium-bodied, smooth-tasting coffee.

The CASIL cooperative was founded in 1966 and today has around 240 members. The altitude and stable temperatures between 16 and 20 degrees Celsius, as well as the clay soils, provide the ideal natural conditions for growing very balanced coffees. The cooperative provides farmers with access to knowledge, infrastructure and equipment to produce coffee of the highest quality and thus achieve higher sales prices.
